Well when you get to the point where you can change secondaries, if you havent done the quest for that profession you cant switch to it. I started R/E but switched to R/Mo. If I wanted to go back to Ele I would need to do that quest.

someone else confirm this, but I believe if you change your secondary to something else, you can always go right back to your original without having to do the quest for it ...

IE: if you started out life as a R/Mo, and you do the ele quest to become a R/E ... I think you can talk to any of the quest givers and you'll have the option "make me a monk" again.

Someone back me up/shoot me down here

Iowerth's right. You don't have to do a quest to take you back to your original secondary proffesion.

That's what I've witnessed -- My monk was Mo/E originally, and I've unlocked /Me and /N now. Anytime I go talk to the secondary-profession-changers, they offer me /E, /N, and /Me, and I've never done "The Elementalist's Path."

Originally you had to do the quest for your secondary (I know I had to on my first character), but at some point they changed it (didn't have to on my second)
